No more to say !
-
In all the years I have watched Football, I have never seen such poor penalty taking...Absolutely abysmal.
-
Another nail in Moyes coffin.....He just is'nt good enough.....no more to say. :)
-
No, his team is not good enough and they really miss Rooney and V.P. I think it may have been a different match with those two playing....
-
I feel sorry for Moyes - what can he do about the De Gea howler.
The players should hang their heads in shame - a shower of over paid egotistic prima donnas.
-
Moyes won nothing in 10 years with Everton. Yes he produced a decent side on a limited budget but he did not win a sausage. Manure took a gamble in appointing him on Fergies recommendation and it has not worked out because he is out of his depth. You cannot keep blaming the players game after game its the manager who picks the side. When he took over at Manure his first mistake was booting out all the existing coaching staff and bringing in the ones from Everton. I get so bored hearing about the same excuse that he inherited a bad squad. Moyes is on a reported £6 000 000 a year. What a waste of money. Could you imagine Real Madrid or Barcelona appointing Moyes as their manager. Not in a billion years. The Glazers will noway give him 2 years to rebuild this team. They cannot afford to. They should get rid of Moyes and bring back Fergie and I bet every united fan would love it.....Thats the lesson for today folks :)

Given that there is not a cat's chance in hell of Fergie coming back can you answer the following
1. who would you have appointed ahead of Moyes and
2. who would you appoint now with the same player pool plus perhaps Mata

My son (a City fan has just put this on his Facebook page)
Pelligrini says: Save yourself the embarrassment I'll be playing Aquero, Negredo and Dzeko in the final"

Another:
After Man Utd result tonight Mata decides to head back to London!

Leave moyes alone, he's doing a great job ;)

3. How many penalties would they have scored out of 5 if Fergie was still in charge

Both questions are irrelevant to me Highlander as I dont support Manure. But I do believe
Fergie would come back, possibly as assistant to Moyes if it meant an improvement. Never say
never as they say.

All of them Scunner :) as they would'nt have dared miss. Fergie being a winner that is and Moyes not one :)
-
Just remind me how many years of not winning did Fergie have at the start if his managerial career at Manure?
-
Been a bit busy tonight, tidying up ridiculous amounts of reply with quote...
-
The special one should have got the job!
He's laughing now I bet.,
-

Excuse me but that is another irrelevent question. The fact is Manure were not the number one branded club they are now back then. So how long Fergie went without winning anything is irrelevant to this situation. In fact Fergie was a proven winner already. Something Moyes is very unlikely to be at Manure.
Fergie is a motivator who gets the best out of players. On top of that he is a master tactition. He is everything Moyes is'nt.
-
As football these days seems to be all about money, extortionate wages, ridiculous transfer fees, has anyone noticed that Man Utd has slipped to 4th place for the 1st time in the list of the worlds highest earning clubs. ;)
-
;D ;)
-
The Glazer's would have noticed :)
-
Moyes didn't get to kick a ball last night.
Millions of pounds worth of " talent " did.
Highlanders description of todays players is spot on.!!
-
Well done to sunderland they deserved some luck played there hearts out from a loyal fulham fan,it will be a great day out at wembly for the fans but i cant see them beating city, but one never knows.
-
O.K. So everyone agrees that Fergie was a wonderful Manager, the best the U.K. has ever know. He did not make mistakes, he was a winner and motived his team to always play to the best of their abilities. He did not put a foot wrong and his team where never out of the top of the Premier League.
However, let us all remember that Moyes is and always has been Fergie's chosen one. Fergie saw himself in Moyes and he decided a long time ago that Moyes was his successor. So, what has gone wrong, has Fergie finally made a huge mistake??

Veron, Djemba Djemba, Kleberson, Forlan, Liam Miller, David Bellion, Obertan, Taibi, Bebe,Berbatov, Cruyff - and I'm not even trying :D
-
Poborsky!
-
And only two "supporters" turned up to watch them in the pub last night! Even though it was on Sky.
Last season it would have been packed.
In decline and not easy to rectify. Share price dropping , Rooney wants out. Percy won't play and spending £37m on Mata?
-
Fergie was a great manager agreed. The best ever and most successful agreed. never made mistakes?
Noway. I agree with Scunner on this one. Apart from the bad buys he made he often fielded formations that puzzled everyone more than once. His genius was that he could motivate the players into playing exactly how he wanted and they did mostly.Motivation was his number one asset and he used it time and time again to make Manure the best.
As for Moyes being Fergie's chosen one. Correct. But only because they were buddies and both Scottish and yes it has been a huge mistake.
Mata has now it seems signed from Chelsea for £37 000 000. He is a very good player so it will be interesting to see where and how Moyes uses him in an already crowded midfield.
-
letting beckham go surley the bigest mistake
-
Nonsense - letting Beckham go wasn't a mistake. Letting Stam go and replacing him with aging Laurant Blanc was though.
-
Engineer dave, no I can't excuse you, just because you do not like the question does not mean it is irrelevant. As much as it sticks in my throat Manure have always been the number one football brand in England going back to the sixties, if not the fifties. Bigger even in their pomp than the red scouters. And not just an English number one but also up there with Real Madrid in world branding.
the point I make is that at one time in his manc career Fergie was not a winner, but the club stuck by him (as they did Busby on a couple of occasions, including post Munich) and they reaped the reward for that. As to previous winning experience I hardly think that Scottish titles do not count for much when stepping into the bigger and more competitive English league. Christ even the euro trophy was the uk equivelant of The Worthington Cup or what ever sponsored form it takes these days.

stam was a big one! Beckham not a mistake? i couldnt believe hed gone, was pleased to see it though!
-

O.K. Forget the Scottish titles, but remember Fergie, when he was boss at Aberdeen won the UEFA Cup and also the UEFA Super Cup in 1983.
As a Liverpool Supporter I don't like M.U. but I respect them and what Fergie did with them, without the money from a Billionaire. I also hate the way jealous supporters from other clubs call M.U. Manure, which is unworthy.
They are not and have never been Manure.

Well said Jacqui, your last statement is the main reason I try not to get involved with the football discussions on here, I left the childish name calling in the playground many years ago.
-
I don't recall seeing any name calling Mark?
-
"Manure" Keith
-
Oh I thought you meant name calling to each other. Manure, just everyday fan banter really?
-
If there was no banter in football and at games how boring and quiet it would be. Its all part of the atmosphere and feeling at being at a games. Some people dont' like them being called Man U either.
Liverpool get called Liverpoo. What's the harm in it. None.
-
its a **** name
-
To be fair manure is quite tame for them in these parts :)
-
David Moyes has promised Man.United fans a place in a major European competition next year even if he has to write the song himself.
-
Apparently they are struggling to get Mata to sign his contract due to their s**t pens
