Phelan's comments were typical Phelan, he isn't the best communicator in football or sharpest tool in the box and always has been a walking cliche machine. His comment was ill considered. We can't have incidents like this in football - I'm a Rooney fan but he now has to expect and accept his punishment. If there isn't a punishment then the anti-Man U fans will be out in force...

Sorry Scunner, I cannot stand Rooney, he is a cheat, a liar, a spoiled brat a womaniser and has no loyalty to anyone, just as long as someone is paying his high wage bill he is happy.  What a great example he is to the kids who love Football.  It was the anniversary of Bobby Moore's death this week, now try and compare the two!!  One will always be remembered with affection, how will Rooney be remembered?
