Had Euro news on this morning and on the No Coment was news of a coach crash in Fethiye. Nothing else has been on since and have tried local newspapers but cant find anything else about it, looked as though it could have been on the Dalaman road  the coach was on it's side.ambulances were taking people to hospital. Has anyone heard about thia?

We saw this. We were on our way back to Dalaman when an ambulance at full pelt past us on the road. Shortly after we saw the scene and it was really awful. The bus was indeed laying on its side and there were paramedics in attendance as well as police. There were walking wonded in neck braces and people looking dazed and confused sitting on their cases. We were all quite shocked and some people were already a little concerned about their safety at the hands of our driver who it would appear only recently gave up rally driving. Naturally he allayed their fears by immedediately texting his mates with one hand to tell them of the scene! The bus was in uproar!

The roadworks on the road are awful at the moment, what you think is a duel carriageway isn't. It's also so poorly lit that this accident doesn't surprise me.

There was another crash last night just by the turnings to Gunluklu, Kucuk Kargi or whatever it is called these days. 2 cars head on and fully burnt out by the time we went past at just after 10pm, must have been a horrific scene at one point.  couldn't find any info on Mugla news agency, but it puts one off lpg cars quite seriously!

Have just found the news that the crash where the cars caught fire happened at about 8pm, 5 people were injured but none of them too seriously. 2 were English teenage tourists who were taken to the Esnaf, with cuts and but no burns.
Cause of crash a bad overtake decision by one driver, the fire, which started immediately in the car spread to the minibus very rapidly,  it was fought with fire cylinders, by others on the scene, (there were many lorries parked off the road) enough to get the victims out of both vehicles then the fire went on to destroy both of them despite the efforts of the fire brigade.
Good to learn, that if the report is correct, no one was too seriously injured.
Just have to add that the traffic control around the fire engine and  burnt out cars was outstandingly noticeable      -------         by its absence, as is all the directions, controls and warnings not to mention good lighting throughout all the major roadworks twixt Fethiye and Dalaman.
