There is an excellent karting track turn along the road that by the place where the helicopters are (on the Gunlukbasi to Uzumlu road).
10 ytl for 10 mins karting
-
Not as good as the one on the main dalaman road, same price the karts are a bit quicker dads can join in too

does anyone use it as every time I've driven passed it's empty. always thought it would go bust with lack of use.
-
I've never seen anyone using it either.

We went to the one on the way to Uzumlu - almost opposite the entrance to the animal centre- 'grown up' played too and they had a fab time. I watched! Really friendly people brought me complimentary cay.
Funniest thing was watching them shooing the horses off the track before they could start, and watching the horses gradually wander back onto the track, so they had to steer round them. Hilarious! Only In Turkey!

Yes - this place is still alive and kicking, and when we were there in October ther building looked fairly new, the grass around the track was well tended, and we also had some goats wandering round the track.
This was adults aswell - we went there at a not very busy time, but there always seemed to be poeple turning up for a while. This is ideal for us as our teens can get there easily from uzumlu.
-
How far from Calis is this and roughly what would it cost in a taxi please?
-
From the water taxi bridge or the central traffic island I would think a max of 15lira.
-
Thanks for that. Is it advertised around the resort?
-
the price last time we were there was 1ytl per minute which is good value. But beware its addictive

can some one tell me how big the track is ? and how many karts ? etc
(Yes, oh Yes, its time to begin planning the holiday from hell (5 teenage girls and possibly 5 teenage boys)...
-
oo Pookie! come to mine for a rest.lol.Back on topic,How much is it per minute at the one in Hisaronu. That one seems more convenient as on the dolmus route to Olu?
-
Hi Pookies! The track is fairly large - large enough for the grown ups aswell! Scottie did some karting with his freind in March. They had about 10 karts there when we went. 10 ytl for 10 mins. Unless you have extra teenage boys with you - I think you are referring to my lot!! Its only 3 of them now!! Hope you are all well. xx
-
thanks Loubs ! glad they are down to three .....won't have to pack quite so many valium now !! Speak soon - miss you guys (and am in need of large chocolate cherry cake..!) xxx
-
Its by far the best track in the area and proper karts as well - not like the ones in Hisaronu. I went with my three teenage sons a few weeks ago and we had a great time. Definitely recommend.

It looked shut up yesterday when passing.
-
which one looked shut up ? the one on the main Fethiye road, or the one off the uzumlu road ?
-
The one on the Dalaman Road before the Ciflik turnoff.
-
ah, by all accounts the one of the Uzumlu road (still open) was far better anyway. thanks all.

How do we get to this from Calis Pookie? Do you know the opening times please? :)
-
sorry I dont know the opening times Rob, but easy to find. If you are taking the Dolmus.....jump out at the Dolmus stop by the animal shelter on the Uzumlu road. You will see a sign for it on the side opposite the animal shelter that takes you through a wooded area....follow the small road and you will find it easily.

Its open all day/evening, used by Turkish locals as well as expats. They have a cafe there (when we went it was out of season so they only served drinks, but I think they do food aswell). If they are busy they have some picnic tables to sit and watch until its your slot, and you have the mountains in the backdrop so lovely scenery to wait in aswell.
-
I think it is open all day through to the evening. There alwasy seems to be someone there.

When you cross the Antalya road from Gunlukbasi to Uzumlu, just past the houses there is a sign pointing off to your right and its about 200m down there. They have cafe and seats for watching. Go karts are proper karts and not the toy ones at Hisaronu so easier to go into the sides at corners and if going to fast and hit brakes and acceleration at same time as per normal karts your brakes tend to fail. Having said that - perfectly safe and lots of fun with a track 4 times the size at least bigger than the one in Hisaronu.
