can you buy suet here ive looked in supermarket but cant find any
-
No, but go to the butchers and buy the fat and shred it yourself.
-
Use the lard that you've already got the method for. Suet is just dried lard, shredded and dusted in flour.
-
thanks:D
-
Sorry Tracey, but suet! Lard! eeeergh
aren't these just pure fat and the bad fat at that...
what are you planning to make - I bet it'll taste really yummy just like everything bad for us
:D:D:D:D

I made dumplings with cooking margarine, salt and flour, the recipe was in my Jamie Oliver book. They were scrummy.

Desperate means and desperate measures.
If I ran out of my favourite Atora Suet I used blocks of Lard or Butter from Migros (or any other supermarket)stick them in the freezer over night then use a cheese grater (or if you can be bothered the food processor) next day, dust with flour, put into a container and stick it back in the freezer ready for use.
-
I have 2 250gms boxes of Atora if anyone wants them for a 10tl donation to the Calis Carnival charity. I will even deliver Calis area

And for that special "Lance Touch", throw in a bit of Listerine and Bonjela just before serving. It cleans and soothes the mouth.
