Title: New Hotel update
Post by: woody on June 12, 2011, 09:03:12 AM: The new perimeter walls of the new hotel are in place and near to completion and the site is huge, with the one side wall going beyond the entrance to the surf cafe which looks set to cut off the existing road, it looks like the new road will now pass thru what is now part of the surf cafe entrance for about 75 metres then baring right before connecting onto the existing Koca Calis road

Post by: moggy on June 14, 2011, 20:45:51 PM: It looks like the rumours were right about a 5 star hotel coming to Koca Calis, and it should have a knock on effect on road improvement,dolmuses, street lighting etc.Just as long as it doesn,t send the price of a bottle of efes up...

Post by: micky mouse on June 15, 2011, 15:07:04 PM: The surf cafe is still up and running and very busy,was in there a few weeks ago at the weekly bbq where there was over 60 people present.The wall along side of the surf cafe will be the new dolmus station which will be handy for those who have villas in and around koca calis.

Post by: stoop on June 16, 2011, 09:54:54 AM: The Surf Cafe must be rubbing there hands :) When we bought in Koca 8 years ago (flippin heck is it that long ago) and we always thought it would get more and more built up.

It's taken a few years longer than we thought but it is happening now.

Just wish they would put some decent drains in :(

Post by: moggy on June 19, 2011, 11:16:23 AM: We bought in koca calis six years ago and just in that time the changes are unbelievable, they've put the new road in from the dolphin roundabout all the way up to the dalaman road,they,ve opened the gocek tunnel,built the huge complex just up from the surf cafe and now this 5 star hotel is about to be built.Not to mention the new hospital and court house,also the promenade is getting closer each week. It's amazing how the Turks just get on with it.Every time we come back there is always something new going on.

Post by: IanK on January 16, 2012, 13:20:42 PM: I believe the hotel will take up all the walled off area (used to be the swamp) alongside Sunset Beach Club. Not sure where the new Dolmnus station will be but there is a patch of land directly behind the Surf Club that could be the site.
