Title: Useful to save money on calls

I think this may have been posted before, but a useful reminder, when you call 0844 or 0870 etc from a landline you get charged at a higher rate, using this website you can find the direct number to a lot of companies, saving money. I am not sure if it puts you in the same queues when waiting for the call to be answered.
It is very useful for me in Turkey I pay €23 per year to skype for unlimited free landline calls to the UK, which are charged to 08 numbers

I use this website almost every day, must have saved me an absolute fortune over the last few years!

Can you give me some more info on the Skype deal please Mark, can't find that info on their website anywhere!

Another useful site for people with UK mobiles is http://www.0800buster.co.uk/ - on my return to the UK I was shocked to learn that 0800 numbers are not free/included in monthly minute allowances on mobile networks. This site routes them so they are. Skype monthly and yearly all inc subscriptions really are the best for every day international calling as karaokemark says - check it out starting here: http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/prices/pay-monthly/

I couldn't find the Skype pay monthly as I was searching for "Turkey" but of course it's not there I'm ringing to, doh!

I-Phone has an app 0870 you dial the number and it gives the alternative number

Yep supacabby, go to shop. Like Keith said, I firs signed up the the uk Landline contract when it was 17 pounds per year. This was to phone any landline.
Now I also keep a credit of 5 euros from direct debit to call mobiles and phones worlwide. (It helps when looking for employment)

We have been abroad for around 30 years and skype has probably saved us the cost of a house. Now in Fethiye with a dongle but can still do several one hour calls.
