Chris has one of these and she loves it, the glow light is great for reading in dark conditions and it works really well in bright sunshine. £29 is an amazing price.

I ordered the £29 simple touch and after taking my details and then dispatching email said it was out of stock. Sent my sister tearing round in the Uk for one and ordered from curry's- out of stock!! Now my card has been debited twice and I now have 2 arriving hopefully by friday. Anybody wanna buy a nook simple touch, new and unregistered?

Mine also arrived today, very happy with it and a bargain at that. For those early christmas shoppers, it would make a great present. They wont stay at this price for ever.

Yep, using mine in earnest. Have to admit for the first day or so I thought I wouldn't get used to it and would prefer a paper book. I think I still prefer a paper book but for convenience and travelling, it's great!

I bought one too from Currys after reading about the offer on here.  It's arrived safely, but looks quite confusing.  However, when I decided to look at the instructions last week, it was about 11.30pm and I was very tired!  Will spend some time this weekend going through it carefully!  I think I too prefer a "proper" book!  But it'll be great for holidays, save carrying a pile of books to Calis with me!   :)

PS:  any simple instructions gratefully received!   :)

Me too, I still pick up the odd paperback - maybe old habits are hard to break!

I have also found that some eBooks are very short, has anybody else found this?

Did anyone buy one of these Nooks at the bargain price and find they are not using it?  I bought one, and love it, but hubby keeps stealing it (and it takes him weeks to finish a book)!!!  Looking for another one if anyone has one for sale so that he can have his own one (have messaged you separately tonysue).  They have now gone back up in price and I don't want to pay full price for one for him (I want mine back  :) ).

Thanks  :)
