Title: Restaurants on the Kordon
Post by: Highlander on June 01, 2016, 20:54:16 PM
Have been reading favourable reviews on various restaurants on the Kordon.

We could of course take a taxi but does a dolmus and/or "the big bus" run along there now.

Yes, the dolmus runs along the Kordon.  Some places like the Matisse will pick you up and take you back.

Is that new then Jacqui as I thought the Dolly went along the next road up from the Kordon?

As far as I know the dolmus doesn't run on the kordon but on the next road up as Bluwise says, unless it's changed since we were there last month. If you know where to get off on the top road it's not far to walk down one of the side roads.  Not sure about the big bus though. We go to the Hilmi Fish Restaurant (next to Mancero) and get a taxi. Lovely restaurant, usually more Turkish eating there than tourists which tells you a lot.

I too agree that the dolmus just runs along the next parallel road and that it's an easy walk if you know where to get off. I'm sure that the Belediye bus does go along the Kordon. Mancero used to collect and return us but has declined twice this year.

Sorry, it was the bus that we were behind yesterday and not the dolmus.  Yes, it is the top road for the dolmus, but there are roads that run down all the way along.  The Malahit Hotel by Tansas has a road along side it that runs down to the Kordon and that is just one.
