Hi - this subject has probably been covered before but i've tried the search facilily and couldn't find anything...

Does anybody know if you still need a degree aswell as a TEFL qualification to teach English in Turkey?

Many thanks for any information! :D

To teach in state schools you will need a degree and its checked out by the ministry of education. How ever there are plenty of private schools that take TEFL qualified teachers and some of them make good money doing 1 to 1 lessons.

YOu need a degree to teach in a government establishment, but more importantly, you need a work permit.
