interest rates

Apologies if this is not on the correct Forum --- but can anyone give me info on bank deposit rates.
Been given to believe that you can get 18-20% at Finans Bank for a min 12 monthe deposit.

As one who gave up believing in " free lunches" years ago I have to
query if this rate is corret and if so are their any catches.
.Thanks

It is True! Depends on your balance and is liable for tax at source.
Remember too that if you wish to withdraw your balance at any time the figure could be more or less than your original deposit depending on the fluctuation of the £ against the YTL. :)

you could of course  open a daily account along side of the yearly one, which then means you could have your interest payed into the daily one and your money is at hand when you want it, ie trips to calis.

Thanks all --- what a quick response. Like the idea of the daily account also.

Now lets see, my £48.60 @ 18% =£8.75 ie 73p a month --- is that enough for a small beer!!

Ok  do tell. Where is this place that sells the amber liquid at such good prices - or is there more than one perhaps?
