Yes I agree valentine because I asked Ayse at Finansbank and she said anyone would stand to lose out on a great deal this way and it was not recommended. At the time of enquiry the buy back rate was 2800.

The house got sold Quicker than i thought, so i went to my bank in Fethiye and was told i could pay a personal cheque in and it would take 3 weeks, no probs, or so i thought, 21 days it would take to arrive, still no probs, the money went out of my account in England on 7th June, nice one, then it all went wrong, somewhere between Istanbull and Fethiye they must have acouple of clearing banks or whatever they call them, now it's in cyberspace until i can get authorisation from god knows where, if my bank have sent the money, surely they had authorisation, it's not as if it's going to someone elses account, but i aint leaving, the bank until it's sorted on monday. When you get your money over to here, you might like to check that in the unlikely event a bank  goes bankrupt (most have gone now that were shaky). they will only give you compensation of 50,000YTL per customer.  May pay to spread it between banks.
I'm sure someonewill be able to report if this is correct.

I would think they are all pretty sound now, i've been using the same one for 4yrs now, and Mustafa from scarlett bar is coming with me tomorrow to try and get it sorted out, it's a good job i have friends here that run bars where i can run up a barbill, lol. Alan
