Fishing boat price
« on: July 22, 2007, 18:54:50 PM »
had a great day out last week hiring a water taxi for the day, they quoted us £70 which we thought was terrific value, we'd got it in our head that included the food, which by the way was terrific.

any way the wine flowed and flowed and a great time was had by all, the bar bill which was presented to us was a bit of a shock and when we sat down and analysed what we had had, all we could assume was that the sum we could not account for, about 60 Lira,  was for the food for 4 people

Does this sound right, in hind sight should have asked just exactly what the £70 included,   still good value tho !!!!

Jerry Boat charges £ 10 per head for his trips. This price includes the food, which like your trip, is terrific but you have to pay for any drinks you have.

Jerry normally tries to have a minimum of 10 people on each of his trips, so there may be an "under occupancy" issue if there were only 4 on your trip.

Hope this helps.

Number of people wasn't  mentioned, just £70 for the boat for the day, if it was 15 lira for the food, thats good value, its just that it wasn't mentioned and we're trying to work out how the bill came to the total  that it did.

Eight of us went on boat trip this year with dedicated boat for us at a cost of £60 with all food included. The drinks you pay for sseparatelybut this is where they make their money. All in all it is great value for money and they take you where you want to go. I would rrecommendboat number 5 captained by Tulay. Been on trip with him twice now and he is a great guy.

The £70 would have been for the boat and the food all drinks are charged and if memory serves a small beer is around 3 ytl and a bottle of wine around 30 ytl. These prices are set by the co-operative so if the wine and beer did flow it was a fairly cheap bar tab.:D

Our bill came to 232 lira, i'm sure we had 5 bottles wine, 5 efes, 4 apple tea s and a bag of crisps, cant remember the price of the tea or the crisps, didnt look, but if they were 3 each, that comes to 180, 52 unaccounted for

:)Bit too late now Dave, but all the trips we have done have been with meal in the price, sounds like you have paid extra for having the boat to yourselves, if so, it was good price, Better to ask next time. ;)
