In the UK I get regular reviews for clinics ie. as a diabetic, high blood/collest. smears etc. Is this avaliable in Fethye via health insurance, would I be looked after? Looking at these important issues as a possble mover to calis. Elaine

 Hiya Tytots,
Not to sure about the Health insurance bit[?] but can highly recommend the Esnaff Hospital in Fethiye, the treatment there is second to none, had a spinal MRI scan there last year and consultation with the Orthopeadic Doctor, in all cost about £100, physio was about £25. I believe if you have residency you get a reduced price on any treatment you get.

Hi Marly, Your MRI scan and consultaation looks really good value; do you have to wait long from when you first ask? Pete

Medical insurance is available here in the BUPA style flavour - as is BUPA itself in the worldwide flavour (I believe) if you have such cover.

My opinion is forget it - do as Marly did and pay as you go, it's really excellent and very cheap. Unless you have 60 diseases it would be much cheaper to use as required than pay for an annual medical insurance policy.

Pleased you said that because that is my plan. I don't like the idea of paying thousands for something that may not happen and if it does means I have run out of the dosh to deal with it.

We took our twins because they had a bad cough and were seen by a consultant within around 2 minutes - he confirmed they had bronchitis after two thorough examinations and gave us a prescription. We paid 29m TL for this.

I did wonder if we had offered to pay a little more we could have got it down to a simple bad cough.
