Hi Alan, as Linda said you only need to transfer your sons utility bills to your name(of course make him still pay them), that way your name will be linked to his address.

 :)Hi Alan, even if you transfer say the TV licence or water rates to your name it will save you the expense of getting a flat, surely the main ID must be your passport and birth certificate, our dee had the same problem when she came home as nothing was in her name, the Nat West could not help even though i've been with them for 28 years, but HSBC did, might be worth a try as hers was only recent. ;)

Hi Alan, good to see you posting & in good spirits, hope you'll soon be 'back in the sun'  :)

Instead of getting a Lease a 'Rental Agreement' along with your passport would normally be acceptable forms of ID & Address.  If less than 2 years at current address [:o)] you will need to give a previous address, where you have been registered for utilities, Poll tax etc, hope that helps a bit  :)
