Turkish television has just announced that because the new currency notes being issued on 1st January are a different size to the present ones, there could be a problem with cash points for some considerable time. ooops. Any news about this Banker?.

HSBC installed a new ATM next to the existing one over the weekend, don't know if that is anything to do with it, or it's just to reduce queues.

Would not think it would be a problem really as machines already issue Lira, Sterling and Euros, all if which are different sizes.

Banks are going to update all ATM and BNa (cash machines) this is better to take some money for new year 2-3-days before than 1st of January.

Used cash machine at Dolphin Island on 3rd Jan issued new notes with no problems.

used cash machine in Hisaronu 1st january..new notes given..very simular to euro notes in size
