I've been serching and can't find any info...
Where do you get a personal ID number from..??
The site i've been trying requires residents permit(Kimlik) number
and I dont have this..
But have been told that we all have a personal ID number...
anyone know about this please..

Maybe they mean your tax number?

Unless you have a residents permit you are on a tourist visa so why would you need an ID No?

I have just bought a new scooter, the trafic police asked for it...
I gave them my tax number, pasport...
I explained I dont have a residence permit,
but still they want this number..
they are now serching for the info..... so I was trying to look for it as well.

You can get your Foreigner Kimlik Number by going to this website.

http://tckimlik.nvi.gov.tr/web/foreignqueryidentitynumber.aspx

It's all in Turkish but it's easy to follow if you use Google Translate or a dictionary.

However, you must have a Residence Permit Number to obtain it.

KKOB, tried that... and needs kimlik number.
Diver, I was told all I needed was passport, tax number..
I'll now wait for the Trafic police to sort it out and see what happens.
