The most important fact you keep avoiding. WHO informed you? Someone from the government in Ankara, someone from the British consulate, or a fat bloke in a sleeveless T shirt and chunky gold chains, sitting over an Efes?

Where are you getting this information?

I thought they were one and the same thing. Don't they just stamp/put a sticker in your passport when you do the visa run?

A friend of ours today has been to his solicitor here in Turkey to sort out a residency,he has a list from Ankara saying of the increases, that is saying £100 for a 3 month visa, also says the paperwork is not quite finished but should be in a few days, hopefully know more then.If it is true Tourism will be finished here.

Maybe this information is getting crossed with residency multiple entry visa, the one you purchase from the UK allows you into the country but once you leave Turkey it becomes invalid, the cost is approx £207  (maybe this amount is now £216?),  The same can be purchased in Turkey (Emniyet Mudurlugu Yabancilar Subesi)apply within 30days of expiry, this one is multi entry.

just a foot note, all those that have a home in Turkey and visit often but don't have a residency, one partner to buy the six month residency then you can have the telephone line installed with ADSL once the residency has run out the telephone and ADSL will still be there, as long as you set up the DD to pay for the standing charges.

I believe that people visiting Turkey on holiday will not be charged £100 for a visa. Call me a fool if you like.
