Of course they won't, how to kill off the tourist trade in one swoop!

I know the Americans or the Canadians pay more, the Irish pay less.

I still say it is the Residency that is increasing and the tourist visa will stay the same, I know the Turks have strange ideas but even they are not so silly to bite the hand that feeds.

2.337.000 British tourists came to Turkey in first 10 months of 2009. Is there a country in the world, who can ignore the income of nearly 2,5 million tourists ? Government know it very well, dont worry   :)

Canada pays the most at the moment which is 60 USD. Italians, French, Germans and some other european countries pay nothing and only need an id card instead of a passport.

All gone a bit quiet, the Talk About Scunner rumour machine in the last year. I almost miss it, maybe we'll move back :D

Turkish embassy are about as reliable as that noter. Out of pure boredom I rung the passport police at Ataturk airport, after listening to them moan about their pitiful pay rise this year, they finally told me that Brits were still getting charged 10 pounds to get in on a tourist visa.
