Just looking at your original post, what do you mean by trips?Do you mean free trips,or small charters.Whatever, beware of the rules. If it is a turkish registered craft,it should now be registered with the harbour master. If so he will advise you on rules for small craft. The owner if not turkish, now needs full  residency if not you are not legal. For casual advice visit one of the yacht brokerage companies near the marina.

Whether its a charter boat for trips, private boat etc VHF should be on the boat for safety reason. If you / they run into trouble and dont have VHF you will have a very big problem.  Common sense to have on fitted on board.

Blimey I hope I never have to ask about buying something on here. They want to know where to buy a radio, not an inquisition into why!

LOL

Maybe wasn't too clear in my first post.

The boat is Turkish owned & registered (with habour master), small Charter Boat.  It is the Habour Master advising VHF is now a requirement.

I have a working fixed VHF which I have taken out of my boat in the UK having installed a DSC VHF . You are welcome to it for an Efes or two but I will not be back in Turkey until late May.
