idiots! how rude... I can't think of anything more irritating than having to leave the country every 90 days particularly in winter when sometimes boat trips to Meis aren't the joy they no doubt are in summer with the weather so rough they even get cancelled.

It's not unheard of either for people to find they end up here illegaly when a trip is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions

There are advantages to having a resident permit that people that people on tourist visas don't have and which I am sure I have seen covered elsewhere on this forum.

Exactly! Residency works out at £100/quarter as a comparison. The idea of going to Meis more than twice in my life is enough to numb my brain forever. Being careful not to miss the date, getting up early & going to Kas, hoping the boat is going - give me residency anytime, even at £400 a year. Better than being an illegal!
