Just to let you know about the Nufus number that the passport police now require. I know you have information on your web site enabling people to get the number online. However, when I went to renew my residency yesterday, this form is not what is required. You now have to go to the government office to obtain the number (which I have) but is printed and then stamped on official paper. Don't know if this has just changed recently but there were several people at the government offices asking for same. There was even a turkish man who obviously organises residency as a living. I had met him previously at the passport office and he was also turned away and asked to get the correct form. Hope this helps.
