Has anybody tried bringing in a box of wine in their hold luggage? I normally buy at the airport and bring a box on to the plane but the choice is very limited.

Comming out next thursday for a couple of weeks and would love to bring some decent wine with me.

Chris

We took a 3 litre box of wine with us last summer in our case!  They're quite heavy, but worth packing if you have the allowance.   :)

We brought SIX x 3Lt boxes back in our hold luggage one time :D - when we were living out there and had a brief trip to the UK. Too long craving a really good white caused us to do this  ;)

It's perfectly safe, no problems at the airports but remember a 3 litre box weights just over 3Kg.
