I doubt it very much. 95%+ of the properties built and sold to foreigners in places like Calis and Ovacik wouldn't have been built at all if non-nationals couldn't buy them. So rent what exactly to "the foreigners"?

Commenter is typical person, who talks on a subject without any knowledge. Not worth to take into consideration.
And if a foreigner was interested on buying a property belongs to her, be sure she will be very happy to sell it. :)

I believe that you are only allowed to apply for residency a limited number of times,is that right?
If an owner dies what are the implications for anyone inheriting the property?
Where we are living in France there are loads of houses standing empty because of the complicated inheritance laws.A lot of the houses are lovely properties in beautiful locations and just crumbling away.Families just give up and walk away.

If there is any truth in this thread, then what next.  Seems every couple of weeks there is something else for foreign nationals living here or potential "come and live in Turkey folk" to contend with and it all revolves around trying to get more money out of us.

The guy that runs this website is very efficient and keeps up to date with any important changes in the laws in Turkey. Save the website address for future reference.

Dont you all think That all of these problem are because of the new computer form
that the officals are being asked to fill out..
The form wont complete without the kimlik number present.
from cars to houses its all the same problem.
Computer says NO.
