check your visa stamp!

We went to the Turkcell shop in Fethiye today to register Johns phone.
Unfortunately they couldn't read the date stamped on the visa stamp and said we would need to go to the passport Police down by the harbour.

I then checked mine, and cant read that either, so will need to take it down there too.

I think the point is that it is difficult, if the date of entry you mention isn't readable.

Mine was clearly visible but in roman numerals and they wouldnt accept it.  Had to go to passport police, they lost the 1st paper they signed and had to go again, the man in the passport police was livid and refused to do another, and he told me to tell vodophone to ring him, which they did.  There was a lot of shouting going on in the end vodophone had to accept it.

Yes, the point is that the red ink they stamped the visa stamp with has smudged and you can't make out the numbers!
You can't make out anything on Johns and he has red ink on the opposite page where it was so wet. On mine you can at least see its August 11.

Just off now to learn to count from blurry smudge to 90.
Eleventy one, eleventy two, eleventy three. Twelvety.

Can you print off / take any flight or transfer details to support your date?
