Hi,

Sorry all havent seen this post, so did not respond ...

Yes we are thinking of building at buzz bar october 2013, it took us 14 years to get a building permission for the land because of the church we found from 6 th century ... we are restorating to church to its former glory, there is 200 squre metes of mosaic that will be lifted off cleaned and replaced over new cement floor, and its all done by an italian company from Florence that specialises in this sort of work ... Than the whole floor will be covered with glass so you can actually walk on it and see the mosaic below ... We are planning to build 26 rooms ...

We are planning to knock Buzz Bar down end October and build the new Buzz bar and few rooms for the first year as stage one, and next year we will finish stage 2 and the church will be restored fully, so those of you that are sad to see Buzz Bar go, we are sad too  but time has come for us to decide as a family ...

One thing I can assure you all is the new Buzz Bar will be exactly the same atmosphere or even better !!!

Well thank you for being honest. Im sure you had to keep it quiet till you had something definite to share. We love the Buzz Bar, (and Shaka) but things move on and it sounds like a lot of consideration will be taken with the restoration of the artefacts. It's a beautiful site and I wish you good luck with your venture!

Having read this I felt compelled to spend the next 5 mins gazing at the Buzz bar webcam and having a bit of a daydream!

Nobody likes changes to the things they like......but life moves on.    The "buzz", the atmosphere, the open-air views , the staff, the food , the music are all you have to retain :-)

I'm sure the development will be done in a sympathetic way.
