I registered at the begining but never took up SGK.Last week decided to de-register.Got my letter, written in Turkish with my details and reasons why and took to the SGK offices. It was so easy!Handed over my letter, lady at the desk got my dossier put the letter in and told me that was it done!!!!!!!!Have got a private insurance with Anadolu Sigorta that covers my needs and cheaper than SGK.Dont qualify for SGK now anyway as been in receipt of a UK pension for almost 4 years.

that's good to know you can still get cover as i think it would be a worry without any for those over 65 at the moment

As I saıd before my frıends both have UK PENSIONS and went to SGK offıce with theır letter and are stıll covered by SGK ınsurance. Only dıfference ıs she has to have a medıcal and pay her SGK in her own rıght.
