Jet2 change of procedure.
« on: August 08, 2014, 12:41:33 PM »
I checked in on line for our September holiday and selected 'print all boarding passes'.

Only the boarding passes for the outward Glasow to Dalaman flight were printed off.

I checked my flight summary on line and saw the outward Dalaman to Glasgow flights were marked Unavailable.

I eventually contacted Jet2 by telephone and was told that this was a change brought about by Dalaman and only the booking ref number was needed at Dalaman. No paperwork.

Can anyone confirm this or otherwise?

The person at Jet2 I spoke with admitted that there was nothing on their web site about this change of procedure.

I'm one of these insecure guys who likes paperwork.  :D

Jet2 have also brought in a policy of checking mobile devices - phones, laptops, iPads, etc have to be fully charged & be able to be switched on or they will be confiscated

Got this information from my friend on a FaceTime call with her daughter present who is an air stewardess with Jet2!

Just to close this post.

I did e mail Jet2 asking for a little more information but never received a direct reply.

Today I received what appears to be a general e mail issued to all Dalaman bound customers informing us of 'Check-in update for flights from Turkey'.

Apparently 'Due to a change in airport regulations you will be unable to check in on line for your return flight' but will be able to check in at Dalaman Airport instead.

No further information so presumably the booking ref number alone will be accepted.

We are using Jet 2 for the first time this year and have had the same question, we have had this before with a different airline and they used our ref number to check us in, so can't see any problem,

Its the same with Easyjet - You can only print your outbound boarding cards.
Just take a print of your flight booking conformation.
If all goes wrong just stay !!!!!  ;)

Change of plan by Jet2 again.
It is now possible to print off 'return tickets' from Dalaman to the UK.
A friend noticed this and let me know.
No notification from Jet2.

I printed return boarding passes on the 10th August for return flight on 29th September. No problem.

Ive just been at my friends while she was booking tickets today and the boarding ticket for the outward journey is as normal but the return journey has a printed message in the top right corner where normally the bar code appears it says This is not a boarding card please proceed to check in .
