It's quiet in the valley
« on: November 08, 2014, 15:15:38 PM »
It's gone very quiet in the valley, most of the tourist have departed and a good number of the restaurants have closed for the winter. We have settled into our new bungalow behind the Istanbul restaurant where they are busy shutting up shop for the winter and draining the swimming pool.

Some of the restaurants remaining open for the winter are. Cin Bal, Caspers, Yalcin & Levissi Gardens.

We have our mail delivered to the Ekiz Supermarket. We arrange for our mail to be posted in A5 red envelopes so that they are easily spotted thus saving hunting through loads of mail. We only have mail posted by family so it works well for us. I can't imagine a government department in the UK doing that for you.

We went to the Saturday market in Fethiye this morning and Hisaronu was like a ghost town as we drove through.

We are dining at the Address restaurant tonite, now the Mozaik has closed we will have to find a replacement for it. Other than the Address we like to visit the following places. The Megri, Manceri, Hilmi, Donazati. We could do with another two if anybody has any recommendations for eateries in Fethiye please.

Don

Don try kebab time, it's on the main Migros road, if you pass Migros going towards Calis, it's at the next set of traffic lights, on the right hand side.

I've heard from a usually reliable source that it had  been cancelled, nothing in black or white yet.

Don, try the Kings Garden in Fethiye.  They will pick you up and take you back for free.  Lovely food and great staff

'Iskele' restaurant next to Palm Island where the taxis are based, just in front of the amphitheatre is very good. I think you'll like it there, they have a big roaring fire in the winter. The waiters are very friendly. Lovely to look over the water too.  :D
