Many years ago we bought a fake Rolex in Benidorm for 8 Euros... It is still going g strong.. We had to take it for a new battery and The jewellery thought it was a real one on first inspection...

I don't buy fakes but have been in the Fethiye Watch centre with others and the guy seems to tell you all about the various qualities and movements etc

Sorry but why would anyone pay £400 for a fake watch? Save up and buy a real second hand one. As Jacqui says - fakes have very little resale value.

Or go the whole hog and buy a new one. You can get some great deals.

My second Tag (a Carrera Twin Time) was bought for my 60th last year. High St price £2400. Tag outlet price £1600. Bought on line from Germany - £1400.

Now that's a bargain.

Absolutely. It's been a while since I've agreed with Stoop on something..!

What a load of nonsense. Buy the genuine article or a fake one for no more than a tenner. Anything in between is ludicrous.

16 years and my Tag is worth £100 less than I paid for it. Even adding the £200 for servicing it means I've had a quality watch for the equivalent of £18.75 a year if I sold it now.

All that time I've had a real quality watch on my wrist.

I have a Tissot, a Gucci and a Swatch Irony amongst others. They are all genuine and I love them all but never wear a watch 8)

I have bought and probably will buy more expensive replicas,Iam an avid collector, not really bothered about resale value, don't try to pass them off as genuine and don't necessarily want the real article .Sometimes I will by and sell on at no profit to other collectors within hours,so it's a hobby and I don't really mind spending on it

People collect replicas of quality watches?

I suppose there's a hobby for everyone out there.
