Fethiyespor made sure they were not the April Fools today as they picked up their first away win of the season beating Kirklarelispor 2-0 this afternoon. After a goal less first half Fethiye upped the tempo at the start of the second, and were rewarded with a penalty in the 55th min as Ustun Bilgi was brought down in the box. Captain Anil Tasdemir scored from the spot to put the visitors ahead. 5 mins later Anil scored again with a shot from just outside the penalty area, his 3rd goal for the club since his January move from Denizlispor.
Fethiye held out for the rest of the game to record their 1st away win in 15 attempts this season. To make the day even better nearest relegation rivals Nazilli were hammered 4-1 away, so with 5 games remaining Fethiye are 5 points above the relegation zone.
Fethiye are at home next weekend when they host promotion chasing Sakaryaspor. Earlier in the season the Black Sea side beat Fethiye 3-1 but the last time they played in Fethiye in 2012, the home side ran out 3-1 winners.
