How about internet banking ? Two signatures to move money electronically to uk? Or to another account?

Just make sure you get Phil to sign a couple of withdrawal slips before you bump him off.   ;)

So you assume it is him that has the account?

Well, as we're talking about joint accounts I'm guessing you'd need his signature. But hey, you've just gotta be different.  :)

Perhaps JH was suggesting the joint account might be with her bit of stuff on the side (of whatever gender).

Oh eck, I have a joint account with TEB and my husband died last year and I know the difficulties of a Turkish bank account when someone dies.   Does anyone know if you can close a high interest account and a current account with just one signature as I had better get this done quickly.

I'd be more concerned about making sure all money is removed before making ANY enquiries about closing it, or the reason why.

Stop trying to make us feel sorry for you. You're only .001% better than a doctor's receptionist.  ;)

Does anyone have the new law reference number for this. I have been scanning the turkish media but can't find any reference to it.
