E visa problem.
« on: July 10, 2018, 10:14:40 AM »
I applied on line for an e visa on 7 July and got to the point where I had made my payment and clicked to complete the transaction.
I got an error message and advised to try again. I did and got the same error message.
Did not do any further attempts.
So no e visa.
A single charge was taken from my credit card.
I contacted the telephone help line but they would not discuss it telling me to complete the on line enquiry form.
I have done this.
Has anyone used this form of contact before and can tell me approximately how long they take to respond?

Were you using the Turkish Government Visa website or another ?

I was using the correct Turkish Government web site as I have done since evisas came into force.
I now know that they respond to enquiries very quickly as I received an e mail from them less than an hour after I submitted my enquiry.
I now have my evisa but still have no idea what was going on.
Twice In my initial application I was told that there was an error in my payment and to try again.
I never got the usual e mail to tell me to down load my evisa.
In their reply they told me to go onto their home page to ‘ongoing application’ and using my passport number download my evisa.
This worked.
Obviously happy to have the document but still wondering what was going on.
