Title: Can anyone help
Post by: winks on July 24, 2007, 17:09:56 PM: Don't know if I'm posting on the correct forum, but I'm hoping to move out to Calis/Fethye soon, and need advice. ie jobs, renting etc. If anyone can help or point me in right place I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance.

The names Christine. Been coming to turkey for fab holiday's for 2 years now. Fell in love with the place, and it feels like home. Unfortunatly not enough income to retire, so in need of advice. I want to test the reality before comitting to the dream and buying.

Might help a bit if you say what you can/want to do work-wise :)

Hi Christine, what they dont seem to be bothered to actually say is that it is nigh on impossible to obtain a work permit and thats why you couldnt officially work. As you will be aware, Turkey is not in the EU so it's not like Spain etc and they wont grant work permits to foreigners if a Turkish person can perform the job.Thats my understanding of it anyway. If you were to work illegally and found out, you would be deported immediately and I dont think your'e allowed back in for a few years.

Please correct me if I'm wrong and give Christine the correct info. :)

A lot of Brits are out there doing rep work. Transfer repping seems to be something that some of the girls are doing.
