Title: Import Tax
Post by: 1jools on February 28, 2008, 15:44:21 PM
Does anyone have a list of the amount of tax you can be charged by the Turkish authorities when importing your car from the UK, also what tax they charge for electrical items or anything really that you may want to take when you move to Turkey, or where you can obatin this type of information.

Thanks - any help very gratefully received.

You can take your car to Turkey but you can only keep it there for six months.

If you use the search facility you will find that there are a number of threads that deal with the issue of "Should I try to import my car into Turkey?" . The answers always end with a resounding "NO!!!" - even from people (like Starman) who have actually done it. I have never tried to do this, and thanks to reading this forum I have no intention of doing so in the future. Thanks CBF.
