Title: Keyboard problems
Post by: jackstee on January 27, 2012, 10:55:56 AM
Sice my computer was serviced at a local establishment the key board is screwed up.

Where the normal @ is (UK Keyboard) it now comes up ". Plus I find when I am typing the curser sometimes goes to the middle of the last sentence.

I know it's easy yo change but could do with some leaders.

Thanks

Is it making you type computer problems in the Moving to Turkey section?

Check your international settings - I think American keyboards have it that way. Change to English (British).

Well to be honest I would have started a new topic - as it isn't about keyboard problems (the subject of this one).

It's not necessarily about where is cheaper, it's whether you can be bothered with a Turkish keyboard!

Oh I love that - wishful thinking, cheered me up no end.

Seriously, in answer to your query, buy the laptop in the UK, cheaper and you get an English keyboard layout. Just make sure you get it up and running to make sure there are no glitches, and if it doesn't come with restore disks write them and bring them with you.

If you buy the laptop in the UK , won't you have warranty problems ?
