last year we missed out on visiting Calis , it was the first time in 7 years, anyway for the life of me i cant remember what the bar was called that was once owned by Suat and Helen.... is it still there and is it still as nice as it was??? We spent most of our last few holidays around the bar attached to Sketuler Hotel as that was were we last stayed , this time we are booked into The Club E, but are going to get out and about a little more.

is it the same bar i am on about (Mutlus), the one that has a big turkish breakfast every Sunday morning and round the corner from Telomises ??? (not the 1881) bar . I know i am not explaning myself well !

Well Helen and Suat ran the 1881 on Koça Calis beach next to the old Birlik. If not that one then it must be Caretta Bar.

YES !!!! Thats it ..Caretta Beach bar, is it still up and running ? it is always so lovely and quiet on that beach ..

Not sure if it's still there but I do know that council are intending to build a boat yard and the canal will be substantially widened where it hits the sea and all the way back to Cicek. They have to get some big boats up it.
If it goes ahead Turkish time then they might have a couple of years before it all kicks off down there. I'm sure a local will know if the bar is still up and running.
