Has anyone else seen Dubai One going and coming back over the past 2/3 weeks? Currently off for me - as is BBC W Radio on Nilesat?
I have noticed everything on the Dubai One transponder 11785/27500 VER has gone (about 10 stations) but not sure what that may mean?
-
I have not had any problems with the nilesat channels Ian.
-
Thanks Baz - sounds like I need my aerial man back again.
It is only Dubai One that I was watching quite often and it kept disappearing and returning so I thought it might be a general signal issue.
-
Does anybody know if there has been a change in frequency on Nilesat since the end of October. We have just returned and have no signal - it may well be a case pf realigning but thought I would ask before getting anybody out. Thanks in advance.
-
We have had no changes since the big wind last year.
-
I had that problem Marggie got my TV man out and found one of the Turkish Neighbours had nicked my LMB and replaced it with his nackered one >:(
-
I lost Nilesat ages ago, nothing on there now
-
George, what is a LMB and Anne did you not get anyone out to look at your system?
-
The LMB is the bit that sticks out on the dish it is the part that receives the signal
-
Thanks George, I learn something new every day. Think we will need to get somebody out.
-
I have nilestat and dubia one no problem. ;D
-
We have Nilesat and get Dubia 1, it's usually down to the weather when we lose the channels. If there is loads of rain/cloud the signal is poor and comes and goes - like today durrr !!
-
What's all this Dubia 1 - George Bush TV? :D
-
As previously posted on here, when we returned to Fethiye we had no signal at all on Nilesat - had the guy out, he
re-positioned the dish and reset all channels, now working again for a call out cost of 30 lira. Nilesat gives 15 mainly English speaking channels, all free to view - 4 news channels and the rest mainly movie channels.
This maybe of interest to Littlereddevil who has lost all channels. A call out charge of 30 lira would give all channels back.

Hi Marggie
We have had the guy out several times to reposition the dish and reset the channels.
Apparently because of where it is the wind catches it when there is a storm.
As we don't live there we have given up meantime and just watch Turksat ( we have 2 dishes ).

Hi Anne
We also have two systems but apart from the Premier League on Digiturk hubby gets a bit bored. In our case we feel there is bit more choice on Nilesat but do agree the wind can cause havoc with the satellite dish and if you are not here in the winter one system will be sufficient.
