Title: Tuesday Market on Monday this week.

Just reading on T.A. that the Fethiye Tuesday Market is on Monday this week because of the Bayram Holiday.     ;)

Thanks for that info Jacqui, asked some Turks yesterday about the market, they confirmed it would not be open on Tuesday but didn't know anything about Monday.

The fruit & veg section will be put to another use on Tuesday  :-X

Yep, duff info from Trip Advisor.  My Turkish friend tells me that it has been on the tannoy that the market will be on tomorrow as usual.  Hope she is correct.

The lady who wrote this on T.A. has an Hotel in the area and her staff gave her the information so she could tell her customers.

Seems unlikely there will be a market tomorrow, but we will wait and see!

I asked several of the stall holders at calis on Sunday if the market would be on Tuesday await was bayram and they confirmed it would be so here's hoping

A friend I have in Fethiye has it on Facebook this morning that she has heard some stalls will be there, as the animals are not going to be in the Fruit & Veg bit... It's all going to happen in the playground of a local school !!!!

It was a very depleted market.  The covered fruit and veg area and down the side of the river was completely empty and the non food side was only about a third of the usual size.  There were still quite a few tourists about.

Fethiye centrum was like the UK on Xmas Day but the permanent market was open.
