Post by: nichola on May 05, 2015, 10:38:48 AM
Where can I find cut off denim jeans - not the ones up around your bum but cut just above the knee.

TIA   :)

You must have plenty of full length jeans Nicola, get some pinking shears and cut them off to the length that you like.

Unfortunately I don't and I'm desperate for something to wear with my new white top I just bought.

Get thee to the Market and haggle for some jeans to hack at. Fringeing is in this summer...also 70s style is back in apparently

Just get a pair of jeans that fit as you like round the derrière etc then either cut them off or take them to the little Taylor's near Gitarci and Iam sure they will sort them

Braved the Tuesday market for the first time in years and got a pair there - no fringing but I could do that myself. Got a nice pair of sandals while I was there too.

Incidentally the market was packed with holiday makers...

Loons to me were flared trousers in 2 different colours. The lower leg in bottle green for instance and the upper leg in maroon or some other equally dodgy combo.

In the Aberdeenshire Doric, which is spoken here where i live a loone  a boy or man and sometimes a loonie and a girl is a quine or a quinie.   It is a totally different language.  It takes a while to get used to it, but I now speak and understand the language fluently.    ;) :D

We used to wear them with short smocks and wedge soled high shoes in the 70's. Loved them, very comfy as I remember. ;D
