Title: Jet2 cancelled flights to Spain
Post by: marina on March 14, 2020, 11:12:38 AM
Just this morning Jet2 have announced they have cancelled flights to mainland Spain, Balearics and Canary Islands due to state of emergency being declared. 7 flights even had to turn round and return to UK  after take off.
Needs checking out if anyone planning on flying with them.

Have just heard from friends that their flight to dalaman in June has been cancelled, doesn't bode well.

It certainly doesn't Christie. I am just thankful that, for once, we don't have anything booked yet this year. We were looking forward to our daughter and family coming over from New Zealand in April. About a week ago they decided it wasn't worth the risk travelling so far with two little boys and so looked at their options. Fortunately they were able to change their flights and are now booked to come at Christmas.  With the way things have escalated since then I'm  so glad they did.
As for us we'll just sit it out at home now and hope things don't get too much worse  :(

My daughter is on an empty flight to Alicante today to bring people home. I have not yet had any info on our flight to Dalaman on 4th May.

We're on Jet2 to DLM on 04 April...keeping an eye on developments but so far, looks like we're better off in Turkey than here in the UK.

Fingers crossed (touch wood) we'll be able to go with no complications.

I doubt it, with the Turkish Government's 'head in the sand' attitude. "Our measures are stronger than this virus".

Tamam, Iyi. :(
