I need to send some documents ,does anyone have experience of a decent courier they have used.
I have googled but get the usual suspects and no reviews, looking like DHL at present unless someone can recommend a better service
-
DPD cover Turkey. So do TNT/Fedex.
https://www.dpdlocal-online.co.uk/parcel-delivery/turkey
https://www.tnt.com/express/en_gb/site/get-quote.html
We've used both in the past ( I used to be a manager for TNT ;) )
Service levels are very badly disrupted by Brexit and Covid at the moment. Personally, I'd send original documents by one service and copies via another. That way if there's a delay or mishap there's a good chance of one set getting through.

Thanks for the advice KKOB I will look at that

My solicitor used DHL for my legal documents December. UK to Fethiye 5 days.
-
I used Yurtici cargo a couple of years ago. Papers arrived in 3 days

That would have been from Turkey and before Brexit and Covid then Liz. :)

Sorry to be pedantic here but Steve is asking about sending documents from the UK to Turkey. Yurtici Kargo don't operate in the UK so any advice to use them is wasted.
-
Just to let anyone who is thinking of it to steer clear of DPD ,they’ve totally messed up.
I sent docs on 25th Feb that have been as far as Slough !
Then rattled around UK for a while and now on the way back to me.
I will then have to find another courier as DPD cannot give an explanation,Wont Refund me and will charge again to resend.
My complaint is in for a refund, ill not hold my breath, the worst firm, systems, processes and communication I’ve ever dealt with.
-

Thanks Shadow DPD now agreeing to refund upon my receipt of the retuned documents.I now need to find another courier I have spoken with DHL who seem helpful and a good choice
-
The Consumer Arbitration route is only useful if DPD subscribe to the organisation. Which they don't.
Their subscriber list seems to be based mostly on pharmacuetical companies and a few clothes brands.
-
DHL got my documents from Birmingham to Fethiye in 5 days, which included the Christmas holiday period,
-
That was before Brexit then. Most courier services are suffering now.
-
That was 4 months ago. December 2020. The Turkish solicitor was surprised at the speed of delivery
-
Mrs KKOB ran a business from Kaya back in the 00's and 4 - 5 days for deliveries between Turkey and the UK were not uncommom back then.
