:)Smudge is absolutely correct about the water, DONT, give it to your baby,My daughter, who is due to give birth on Friday ended up with gallstones after a short time of drinking the water over there,so best be on the safe side. ;)

duffy2,

Please do not instruct fellow members on how they should or shouldn't post. We have an excellent team to offer guidance on how best to post on CBF - and they all have an infinite amount more tact than you.

If we need a new moderator we'll ask you, assuming 3500 others turn the job down first.

I would "respectfully" ask that members keep over abbreviated or "text" style writing for the kids forum, as a decent proportion of members can't follow it all (including me :D )

Cheers!

Scunner

We DO buy bottled water. The 18lt. variety which isn't expensive at all. In most of the villages, there's a standpipe which where I used to live was frequented all hours including after midnight. Often Turkish families would fill up 10-20 5lt platic bottles to take home. That's not to say the tap water was polluted, but the standpipe was considered a much cleaner source (Madran Su).

I drink bottled water, 5 litres is only 1ytl, then top it it up from the tap and put it in the fridge, i don't think there's much wrong with the water in Calis, and i can't see the efes company using bottledwater, so we'll all get gallstones, i reckon, and can i still say cos instead of because,or will that upset anyone, lol. Rachel congratulations on the birth of your baby. I would definatley not use the tap water for his bottles like others have said, use bottled. I think the water in Calis is ok for some of us and boiled it shouldn't be a problem. But obviously, you wouldn't want to take that chance with a baby, just in case.
Have you thought about using cold water sterilising tablets?
