Five-a-side footy to keep fit
« on: June 24, 2010, 14:41:15 PM »
Hi All,

Im brand new to this forum, so Hello my names Paul, Im 34 and currently in Wigan counting down the days till we get over there.

Me and my girlfriend are moving to Ovacik on the 29th July. I was wondering do any of you guys play football over there, maybe five-a-side or something. I play a couple of times a week back here in Wigan (nothing serious, just a friendly kick about) and was hoping to carry on playing in a vain attempt to keep fit.

Any thought would be much appreciated.

Cheers

it would be great to get this off the ground, I used to play regular before moving out here, unfortunately it is rather hot in the summer months unless you play at midnight.

Please feel free to go to the new member welcome bit and introduce yourself Paul.

Andy

Good point Andy, I never thought of that, and I like the thought of late night games. Thanks for the heads up on the introduction thing, Ill head over and do that.

Cheers

Paul

Some years ago a few of us holiday makers were challenged to a five-a-side match against some of the locals.

Being in the peak of condition, I was right up for it and asked what time they intended to play.

I was mortified by the reply of 2 o'clock until it was it was gently explained to me that it was 2 in the morning.  :-\

That was the day I learnt what "salak" meant.:(

Hey Andy and Highlander,

Sorry Ive been off the radar, had so much to get sorted, it been a bit of a nightmare to be honest.

Well we are now officialy residents of Ovacik (kind of anyway), me and the girlfriend are settling in well.

Highlander, wow that sound a bit late, I think that would probably write the next day off for me, I need my 8 hours (at least).

Andy if you do know of anyone that might be interested, drop me a message as I would love to get something started, or get involved in someone elses game. Ive spotted a pretty decent (almost full size) astroturf pitch near the Yakamos (not sure how to spell that one). Its owned by the hotel with the Aqua Park, would be ideal if we got something going.

Im having a nosey round to get some number, finger crossed.

Hope speaks soon chaps.

Paul, there is no need to start more than one topic on the same subject, people will see it. I have deleted the other one.

It's no problem Paul  :)

Just if people see the same topic in several sections it can confuse  ;)
