The one with the padlock is called 'insurance' - you can only use it once per week and it basically means you can't lose points on that prediction. If you are wrong you won't get any worse than 0 points. If you get it right you get whatever + points are normally due.

Or you can just not put in a score at all for some games. That means if you are not sure then you do not lose any points if you are wrong.

Might as well have a level playing field eh?
