Its time to drop Rooney

What's to say he will go? If he doesn't want to join another team till his contract runs out he doesn't have to. If he can go on a 'free' his wages could be much better. Ferguson may have fallen out with one player too many - the team aren't what they used to be, very few real stars other than those in the twilight of their careers, and Rooney - who doesn't see his future there.

Can anyone seriously imagine this squad can win many trophies - plenty of decent players but the likes of Park, Gibson, Fletcher, Rafael, Evans would have never got near the team bus for the 1999 Champions League final. Nani and Anderson would also struggle.

Top class players that aren't in their fading careers? Rooney and...sorry, I can't think of many others.

No I wouldn't Stoop, we have a great balance at the moment and different style of play to what hes used to ie chasing the ball all over the pitch like a 10 year old, he stopped doing it for a while last year for England and Manu and everyone saw the benefits, now he has reverted back to playing sometimes behind the midfield.

So no ;)

He plays like a schoolboy now.  He is supposed to be a striker and then you find him supplying a through ball to a midfielder to have a shot on goal????  Should not that be the other way round?  He has lost his way big time on several levels.

I think he will deeply regret his decision to move.

I do however hope that he stays in the Premiership. He's a fabulous footballer and I love watching him play.
