Yes but as Tel said, look at the squad he inherited first time round! Fair do's to him he kept it going, and that isn't a gimme as many managers have found out to their cost - and that brings me quite neatly onto my other point which is that Liverpool today still suffer from the decline which Souness began nearly exactly 20 years ago.

I hope he does crap to vindicate Roy, who has been made a scapegoat, and prove that the guys on the pitch are the failures : :)

Kenkay I'm not sure I wish Daglish any ill feelings going forward with the job, but I do feel for Hodgson, there were too many 'monkeys on his back' to ever succeed at Liverpool - owners, supporters who think the club has a god given right to be a 'top' club, and sulky, spoilt players - and the biggest monkey sat in the stand every week letting supporters and TV alike know his feelings through his over-dramatic body langauge and sour face ..

Indeed - very timely. But as you know it took him three years to win his first trophy. Much longer than people are given today.

To answer both questions probably not and probably not. I was hoping a while ago that Fergie would step down and that they'd get Mourinho (spelling?)  ;):D
