Well Spurs were well and really beaten tonight 4-0 at Real Madrid. Crouch sent off Defoe and others booked. Interesting 2nd leg to come

Hard luck Spurs, poor Harry was twitching like the clappers, cant really see them overturning a 4-0 though. Schalke did well too. its the biggy tomorrow though. ;)

Might have more than:

2 direct shots at goal
2 corners
10 mins possession

Match died after Crouch was sent off.  Totally one sided.   It was sad to see Marcelo celebrating and gloating the fact that through fouling him Crouch had to go.  Typical of today's footballers where sportsmanship has been replaced by gamesmanship.  However, Mourinho showed how it should be done by commiserating with Crouch and giving him a pat on the back.

That Spurs left back does make things difficult for his team to keep possession on the rare occasions they have it. Can't someone explain to him that when distributing the ball from defence to up the field, players receiving the ball from him at neck height at 70 miles per hour isn't ideal?

As usual Spurs falter at the business end of the season. I have a £100 bet with my Spurs loving neighbour (who was at the game last night poor sod) that Leeds will win the Premiership before Spurs manage it. Probability is we might both be well gone by the time one of them manages it ;)

Not losing any sleep on that bet.

Crouch should have known better - he's not some kid of 18 but a man of 30! Then again looking at his off the field antics maybe his brains are in his rather long pants.
