It's not just rugby that has video technology it's other sports too.  My husband who used to play and love rugby always says they should bring the sin bin into football rather than hand out so many cards.

I think Suarez would be on the pitch because he's jumping out
Of the way of players trying to clog him,

How many people does the sin bin hold, once you've got the Ref, 2 linesmen, and the 4th official in there, cant be much room left.  ;)  :)  :)

then after 5 mins.

If you can give me one example of where it took that length of time in rugby, I'd be bloody amazed

Sorry Highlander, but a game of rugby has come to a natural stop when the technology is used. If you use it to decide if it's a penalty in football or not, where do you restart the game if it's deemed not a penalty? The ball wouldn't have been dead. Does everyone resume their position where they would have been when the tackle happened and then the ball is put on the grass again to play. Like to see that work.

A bit silly that one Strange, If the video shows it was a penalty, he blows his whistle and points to the spot, if it shows not he gives a goal kick. and also gives the necessary cards for the offence by whatever player.  :)

I have opened a new topic on video technology in football, as I feel we are slipping away from the original post I opened on the Liverpool v man city game, which was intended for the incidents in that game, I myself along with other members moved off the original topic, so perhaps our admin team could now move all replies on video tech to new topic.  :)
