I agree with Susiepink, however, our friends prefer the Pines.
I think a very difficult question to answer as individual tastes can differ quite a lot
My No 1 is Fesetta
     No 2    Pines
     No 3    Seashells in Ovaçik

Seeing as Pines gets the most votes for a Calis location it will be my first place to try and thanks for the other places may be later.

The Kings Garden do a nice Sunday lunch.  Don't know who showed them how to do Yorkshire puddings but they are spot on.  The roast beef is also lovely.   Gravy a bit thin and is already on your meal when it comes.  If like me you prefer it on your meat only, ask for them to bring it separately.

Do the pines not do batter pud if not why not everyone else uses the same flour no doubt there chef cant make them ,or perhaps they had run out on that day ,has anyone else had batter puds there . ;D

Lance, The Pines do serve batter puddings. My post may have been unclear regarding batter puddings as I was meaning in all of the establishments we have had a roast there (in Calis and surrounding areas) and not only the Pines specifically. Sorry for not being clearer. I have not had a roast at Kings Garden as yet, but from those I have tried, The Pines is certainly the best IMO.  :)

I think a couple of the restaurants buy in Yorkshire Puds,  I saw some last year,(frozen), from where I buy my beer.
I must admit they are not even similar to Aunt Bessies

Yep, Pines for us too, I can't eat Yorkshire pud but the one on Lee's plate looked lovely, enormous and golden brown. You can't beat 15TL for a dinner, sweet and soft drink.

There are a few who do a decent Sunday Lunch but we have never had one that does good gravy.. A must for enjoying a meal. It is always watery...probably because they need to stretch the meat juices but we have been disappointed on a lot of occasions....
